The Heart Strings Project
The Heart Strings guitars are a series of seven guitars hand crafted using wood donated by the owners of many historic Christchurch buildings that fell in the recent Canterbury earthquake. The guitars are each named after the building from where the wood came from and each has an original design that reflects its history.
The Heart Strings Guitars were designed by Christchurch musician, Jason Pickering, and hand crafted by his talented father, Bruce Pickering. The guitars will each be put up for auction in February 2012 to raise money for organisations within the Christchurch Arts Community, to help re-establish the passion and creativity that Christchurch is renowned for.

Hersheys Classic Star Talent Quest
Mandy was lucky enough to be asked to be one of the judges at this years Classic Star talent quest. It was an incredible contest and the level of talent was really impressive!
Top prize was $10,000 so talented singers, dancers and performers came from all over New Zealand to compete and they made it a great show!

Mandy was honoured to perform at the fund raising dinner for the Pike River Mine Relief Fund Trust. It was a magical evening that raised $100,000 for this worthy cause.

The album was produced by Brad Banks and engineered by award winning sound engineer, Andrew Buckton, and has been supported by Up Up & Away Balloon Adventures.

Mandy sang with her talented band at the 2010 Spring Fashion Show at Christchurch Convention Centre. Mandy was styled by the amazing Gillian Melhop and Mod's Hair.

Mandy performed at the Christchurch Cancer Society Ball
in Christchurch. Mandy sang and playing the grand piano
and was styled by Robyn Cliffe, Champs-Elysees Day Spa,
and Mod's hair.
April 2010
Mandy sang at the NZ Bridal Show in Christchurch. Mandy was accompanied by her husband, Jason, in a performance that opened the Bridal Fashion Parade.
March 2010Mandy, accompanied by her husband Jason, sang to the large crowd at the Candlelight Ceremony as part of the `Relay for Life'.
December 2009
Mandy performed live at the famous Caroline Bay Carnival. These shows had special meaning for Mandy since her parents performed there together in 1972!
October & November 2009
Mandy performed at a number of private functions in Christchurch including Millennium Hotel Christchurch, Champs-Elysees Day Spa and Christchurch Town Hall.
September 2009
Mandy performed at a conference opening in Auckland, which was held at the beautiful
and historical Hopetoun Alpha.
August 2009
Mandy performed 4 live shows to large crowds at Millennium Hotel in Christchurch.
Fans travelled from around the South Island, joining Christchurch fans, to see Mandy perform with talented musicians, Brad Banks and Jo Barus.
Mandy also performed her rendition of 'Angel' live as part of the TV3 Telethon which was televised nationally.
