A magical afternoon with friends enjoying the beautiful
'Heart Strings' concert while taking in views of the stunning Auckland harbour. For just $49 you receive a complimentary glass of wine/beer and canapés on arrival.... all in support of the Christchurch Arts Community.
The 'Heart Strings' concert will feature a collection of guitars hand crafted using timber from many historic buildings that fell in the September 4th Canterbury earthquake. The concert also celebrate the 'Kia Kaha' guitar, which commemorates the building and lives lost in the February 22nd Canterbury earthquake. All money raised from the Heart Strings project will go to the Christchurch Arts Community via Creative New Zealand.
Mandy will be performing songs from her debut album and promoting her new original songs that will feature on her upcoming second album. Mandy and her band have performed with the Heart Strings guitars around the country to sold out audiences and critical acclaim; "Pickering is more than a pretty face, she can really, really sing. She and her band delivered a show which was heartwarming and touched the audience in very special ways."
Bruce Pickering, creator of the Heart Strings guitars, will be at this concert along with Christchurch musician and co-founder of the Heart Strings project, Jason Pickering. Mandy will be accompanied by talented musicians Brad Banks and Jo Barus from Christchurch band 'Dukes', Jason Pickering and Anna Whitaker.
$49 ticket includes a glass of wine or beer and canapés on arrival. Doors open at 3pm.
